An examiner who follows up, answers and interrupts you — just like on exam day.
Practise TCF Canada speaking and writing with 100% original topics, strict timing and an estimated NCLC level.
Three tasks, three examiner behaviours
Elsewhere you talk and a machine replies. Here the examiner behaves as in the TCF Canada, with the same timing.
She leads the interview and follows up
The examiner asks about you, then picks up on what you just said. Answer too short? She asks you to develop it.
She only answers what you ask
You ask the questions. She plays her role, volunteers nothing and doesn't know everything: you have to rephrase and dig for the information.
She interrupts you
While you argue, she cuts in to ask for an example or challenge an idea. If you sound memorised, she asks for concrete details.
100% original, no recycled topics
No “recent exam topics”, no question banks rebuilt from candidates' memories. Every topic is written for this site, following the official format.
According to the TCF candidate handbook, the examiner may interrupt a candidate who seems to be reciting, and a memorised answer can be rated “below A1”. Candidate handbook
- Memorised answers won't protect you: our examiner interrupts too.
- You train the real skill: react, clarify, argue.
- Official sample tests stay with the test owner: see the official site.

FAQ
Is this an official site?
No. tcftef.ai is an independent preparation tool, with no link to France Éducation international (TCF) or CCI Paris Île-de-France (TEF).
How reliable is the score?
It is an estimate, shown as a range of NCLC levels. The official raters' detailed grid is not public: we rely on the published official criteria and CEFR descriptors, and we rate on the strict side. A performance that is too short never gets a score.
Why no “recent exam topics”?
Because memorising answers is risky: according to the TCF candidate handbook, the examiner may interrupt a candidate who seems to be reciting, and a recited answer can be rated “below A1”. Our topics are original and our examiner interrupts you: you build the real skill.
What do I need?
A recent browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox), a microphone and an internet connection. The site is light and built for entry-level Android phones. Earphones help.
Are my recordings kept?
No. Each sentence is transcribed, then the audio is deleted. The transcript and your report stay in your browser.
What about TEF Canada?
The NCLC converter already covers TEF Canada (with the “ancien score”, the only one IRCC accepts). TEF speaking and writing simulations are coming soon.
